Matchbox has also produced cars in approx. 1:43 scale (frequently called "
kingsize"), labelling them
Speed Kings or
Super Kings, which measure about 3.5 to 4 inches in length.
Matchbox designers preferred this larger size because it allowed for more detail. The 1:43
Matchbox King Size models are still made, but are Usually marketed as collectibles, rather than as toys. While the actual
King Size models in these series tend to hover around the 1:43 scale, other vehicle types (trucks, construction and farm vehicles, hovercrafts, tanks, etc.) vary greatly. Check out the huge selection of
